Shahid Afridi, who was serving as Interim Chief Selector of the Pakistan Cricket Board's (PCB) Management Committee, has stepped down from his position. Additionally, two other members of the interim Management Committee, Sana Mir and Arif Saeed, also resigned. Haroon Rashid, the chief selector, has returned to the MC, causing concern about potential conflicts of interest. The two vacant positions in the MC have been filled by Malik Zulfiqar. The Prime Minister is set to announce new replacements for Afridi and Arif, along with the new chief election commissioner. Efforts are also underway to reinstate former deputy election commissioners and hold elections in regional cricket associations.
